India eyes construction of state-of-the-art nuclear energy center
Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh announced the country will build a Global Center for Nuclear Energy Partnership, consisting of four schools dealing with nuclear energy issues. The "state-of-the-art facility" would also conduct studies of design systems that are "intrinsically safe, secure, proliferation-resistant and sustainable," he said during the Nuclear Security Summit in Washington, D.C.
