Administration Cannot Drop Bid for Nuclear Waste Dump in Nevada, Panel Finds

NRC panel rules against withdrawal of Yucca project application
A three-judge panel from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission blocked the Energy Department's move to withdraw its application for building a nuclear-waste repository at Nevada's Yucca Mountain.
