Panel: Fukushima had minimal impact on public health
A
panel of American radiation experts has concluded that the health
effects from the Fukushima Daiichi incident are minimal, even if some
areas near the facility must remain off-limits for years. "From a
radiological perspective, we expect the impact to be really, really
minor," said Kathryn Higley, a nuclear engineering and radiation health
physics professor at Oregon State University. The Wall Street Journal/Japan Real Time blog
