Although
there are views on nuclear energy that are partisan in nature, there is
nothing inherently ideological about an energy source. It is what it is
– whether a creature of the free market (as in the United States) or a
nationalized industry (as in China) or a mix of the two (as in France.)
However you view it, it’s still all about turning a turbine.
But maybe nuclear energy is a profoundly undemocratic thing, a Cultural Revolution
in a reactor:
