- NRC tells FP&L to modify license bid for new Fla. reactors
Florida Power & Light must modify its license application for two new 1,100-megawatt reactors at the Turkey Point nuclear plant in Florida before the Nuclear Regulatory Commission can finalize its review, the agency said in a letter. FP&L should change its alternative-site evaluation method, the NRC said. The utility's responses to queries about geotechnical engineering, seismology and geology should also be refiled, the agency added. Platts
