Honoring Veterans This Weekend – And Always by Moderator We at the NRC would like to take this time to thank the men and women of the Armed Forces – past and present – for the contribution they have made to our country. We held a ceremony at our HQ building today to honor veterans and, of course, our staff will have Monday off as a federal holiday. We are proud that at least 20 percent of the NRC’s employees are veterans, and the NRC has special hiring authority to appoint veterans under certain circumstances.
