Report looks at production potential of U.S.
shale plays
U.S.
oil supply has been on an unprecedented surge since its all-time
historical low in 2008. Current production of crude oil is 6.3 million
b/d, the highest level since 1997. That amount is expected to increase
in
2013. This growth in output was triggered mainly by major breakthroughs
in production technology for tight oil resources, exemplified by several
shale plays.
