Members of the Nuclear Nonproliferation Technical Group,  

I hope you are getting excited about our upcoming first Topical Meeting, embedded in the ANS Winter Meeting in Washington, DC.  Here is a great opportunity for student members to be a part of a special Student Showcase.  I hope you can participate.  Please note the August 20, 2013 deadline for poster titles and author names to be included in the meeting program.




Nuclear Nonproliferation Student Showcase
2013 ANS Winter Meeting & Nuclear Technology Expo
"The 75th Anniversary of the Discovery of Nuclear Fission"
November 10-15, 2013 ● Washington, DC ● Omni Shoreham Hotel


A Student Showcase will be included in the Topical Meeting on Nuclear Nonproliferation - First Fission to the Future, which is embedded in the 2013 ANS Winter Meeting in Washington D.C. Geared specifically towards undergraduate and graduate students, this poster session will be an opportunity for students to showcase research in nuclear security, nonproliferation, and related subjects. The session will be Wednesday, November 13th from 4:30 to 6:30 pm in the Palladium Ballroom of the Omni Shoreham Hotel.

To submit a poster for the session, students should send the title of their poster along with author names and contact information via email to:  
The deadline to submit poster titles and author names is August 20, 2013 to be included in the Program and ANS Transactions. This information can be submitted through September 13, 2013, but for submission to the later deadline, the description will only be included in the Program and will not be in ANS Transactions.

This will be the only student poster session at the 2013 ANS Winter Meeting. Therefore, subjects related to nuclear security and nonproliferation will be generously interpreted.
