Qinshan Nuclear Power Company and the owners of China North Nuclear fuel elements Company recently organized the “Candu production line first coordination meeting” and reached a consensus to ensure that the production line transformation will be completed on schedule, to promote the use of Candu reactor in 2014.
  It is reported that once the full stack application will be implemented, both Qinshan CANDU plants will consume 140 tons of recycled uranium per year, 60 tons of depleted uranium, saving 200 tons per year for the Government of natural uranium resources, the equivalent of a medium-sized provincial annual production capacity of uranium mines.  
 The uranium recovery project is a full-stack application technology innovation project of Qinshan Nuclear Power owners vigorously promoted by the company in recent years, in line with China to build a resource-saving and environment-friendly society.
