New contests launched! U.S. carbon policy, green buildings, and more...

Dear Climate CoLab community,   We're very excited to share the new contests that are now live on the Climate CoLab.  Enter before July 20, 2014 and you could win the chance to present your idea in front of world renowned experts to help get your idea implemented, and a win $10,000 Grand Prize!   How can the U.S. Congress pass a price on carbon emissions? We're seeking innovative policy and social mobilization ideas on how to move the needle on this important issue.  Serving as contest Advisors are: George P. Shultz, former U.S. Secretary of State Bob Inglis, former U.S. Representative (R-SC) and current Director of the Energy and Enterprise Initiative Phil Sharp, former U.S. Representative (D-IN) and current President of Resources for the Future How can we empower the public to grow demand for green buildings? Sponsored by the World Green Building Council, this contest seeks proposals on how to reach a broad spectrum of communities to increase public awareness, knowledge and demand for healthy, more efficient, green buildings.   How can U.S. federal agencies mitigate climate change? Taken as a whole, the U.S. federal government is the single largest energy user in the country.  Sponsored by Third Way, this contest seeks actions that agencies can take to reduce energy use, transform the energy supply, or promote energy innovation.   How can crowdsourcing provide more efficient disaster risk management? This contest seeks proposals that reveal the full potential of crowdsourcing for disaster preparedness, response and recovery.
