PRESENTATIONS BY NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL OPERATING COMPANIES
NORTH SEA OUTLOOK: OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES
The UK Continental Shelf has been a substantial contributor
to the global reserves base, yielding more than 42 Bboe so far. Its
potential is equally impressive with an estimated 12-24 Bboe still to be
developed. Favorable commodity prices have spurred legacy players and
newcomers to
explore frontier and underexplored areas of the North Sea. Despite this,
global and regional issues are slowing the pace of domestic drilling
and development. In this session, representatives of leading
international operating companies will offer their perspectives on these
and other developing
trends in the region.
Chair: Dr. Patrick O'Brien, CEO, ITF
Mr. Philippe Guys, CEO, TOTAL UK
Mr. Tony McGarva, Rosebank Subsurface Manager, Chevron Upstream Europe
Tamara Sebire, Catcher Area Development Manager, Premier Oil
