Fla. metro area suffers economic loss after Crystal River plant closure
The
Homosassa, Fla., area suffered a gross domestic product loss of 7.5%
last year, losing more than $206 million in economic output, according
to the Commerce Department. Observers say the drop can be attributed to
the closure of Duke Energy's Crystal River nuclear plant in 2013. Tampa Bay Times (St. Petersburg, Fla.)
