Russia not to limit uranium commercial supplies to US - Rosatom
October 30, 2016
"The Rosatom State Corporation states officially that the Russian side does not consider any measures to limit supplies of uranium products to the U.S. market," the company said. "Commercial cooperation in peaceful use of nuclear energy is based on long-term contracts, which are subject to unconditional fulfilment."
Rosatom’s organization, called Techsnabexport, involved in export of uranium products, has been in the global market for more than 40 years and has observed full its all contracted obligations even in most complicated periods of the Russia-U.S. relations. A demonstrative proof is the successful implementation of a most complicated Highly Enriched Uranium Purchase Agreement (Megatons to Megawatts Program), Rosatom’s head of Development and International Business Department Kirill Komarov said.
"And today there are no reasons to doubt reliability of Russian supplies," he stressed.
