NUKE Act in the House Tomorrow, the House will vote on H.R. 1320, the Nuclear Utilization of Keynote Energy Act, otherwise known as the NUKE Act.    Sponsored by Representative Adam Kinzinger (R-IL), the bill would implement an updated NRC fee structure, provide greater transparency and certainty in the licensing process for new plants, and require the NRC to begin a new rulemaking process on decommissioning.    The legislation faces an uncertain fate in the Senate, where a similar bill (NEIMA) has not moved forward since being reported from the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works in May 2017.
