Mountain communities brace for PG&E's public safety power shutoff | KMPH: People living in the mountains where power lines pass through high fire risk areas could lose their electricity in short notice. They've been warned by PG&E that they fall under the utility's public safety power shutoff. Debra Archer lives in North Fork and suffers from Rheumatoid Arthritis. "Most of my money goes to my PG&E bill. That's my biggest bill. I think they need to figure out a way to fix. their problem and not turn our power off.
