PG&E facing state penalties over 2017 wildfires - SFChronicle.com: The California Public Utilities Commission on Thursday began proceedings to consider fines and penalties against Pacific Gas & Electric Co. for 2017 wildfires and ordered the utility to create a mobile application so that the public can report utility pole issues to prevent future disasters.
