US regulators conclude Hermes safety review : Regulation & Safety - World Nuclear News: The US Nuclear Regulatory Commission has issued its Final Safety Evaluation Report for Kairos Power's application to build the Hermes molten salt test reactor at a site in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The company says it expects to receive a construction permit for the first-of-a-kind reactor later this year.
