Higher estimate of Fukushima releases

Higher estimate of Fukushima releases

25 May 2012
The latest analysis has upped the figures for the amount of radioactivity released during the accident at Fukushima Daiichi, although the estimate for the main long-term contaminant, caesium-137, was actually reduced.

http://www.world-nuclear-news.org/RS_Higher_estimate_of_Fukushima_releases_2505121.html Actually the contribution of I and Cs are discussed but nothing is said on strontium (Sr) despite this element was often found in press statements. Sr is also an element which poses health risk, hence should be carefully assessed by WNN analysis
