Iran has the capability to manufacture nuclear fuel for a research reactor this year, said Ali Akbar Salehi, the country's minister for foreign affairs. He said that the country hopes to see the the first 20% enriched uranium batch of Iranian-produced fuel during the first half of the Iranian year beginning March 21. The announcement came less than two weeks before a new round of discussions involving the U.N. Security Council and Germany regarding Iran's nuclear ambitions.
