North Korea Foresees Global Buildup of Nuclear Weapons

North Korea's representative to the United Nations on Wednesday predicted that U.S. initiatives to update the nation's nuclear deterrent and to field new missile defense capabilities would cause other countries to build up their own nuclear arsenals, the Associated Press reported (see GSN, July 27).
