Brad Plumer, Wash Post
Clean tech has enjoyed quite the party these past few years. Solar, wind, plug-in vehicles "” they've all benefited from billions of dollars in subsidies from Congress, through various energy and stimulus bills. As a result, many industries, like solar, have taken lengthy strides.

Turbulent Times Ahead for Renewables
James Murray, Businesss Green
The recent rapid expansion of the US renewable energy sector could be thrown into reverse unless policy makers take urgent steps to reform subsidy regimes which have delivered a cycle of "boom and bust" that could yet result in a "clean tech crash".

Green Power Just Leads to More Problems
Tom Reynolds, Ithaca Journal
Much has been written about hydraulic fracturing, while "green" alternatives are endorsed but not examined. We will not meet our energy needs just by putting solar panels on our houses. It will require acres of solar panels that will displace agriculture and can't be hidden behind trees and hills as we can do with gas wells. Imagine the attraction to tourists of driving upstate highways bounded by acres of picturesque solar panels.
