Mitsui & Co. to withdraw from joint venture uranium mine project in Australia by I-Nuclear Mitsui & Co. Ltd. has announced plans to withdraw from a joint venture uranium project in Australia, in which it holds a 49% stake. Canadian-based Uranium One, 51% owner of the Honeymoon uranium project with Mitsui, said May 7 that Mitsui has made a decision to withdraw from the project and the parties are currently negotiating the terms of Mitsui’s withdrawal.
