Nuclear Industry, Navy to Sign Employment Partnership For Veterans Wednesday in Atlanta
WASHINGTON,
D.C.—The
nuclear energy industry and the U.S. Navy's Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program
will hold a signing ceremony Wednesday in Atlanta formally establishing the
first program that allows Navy personnel leaving the service to seamlessly
transition to work in the commercial nuclear energy sector.
The
signing and media availability will be held in the Brayton Room of the
Renaissance Waverly Hotel. Nuclear industry and Naval Nuclear Propulsion
representatives will discuss the program and how it will benefit veterans
leaving the Navy and nuclear technology students looking for civilian and Navy
opportunities.
