Three Chinese Projects are expected to passed approval in November
Chinese nuclear power construction has
immersed in low ebb since Fukushima nuclear accident. New approval
nuclear power projects have suffered for more than three years. National
Development and Innovation Committee (NDRC) has recently declared to
the State Council formally to start approval of nuclear power projects,
in which six units of three nuclear power plants are declared to be
approved. The approval is expected to pass at the fastest in November.
The six units are respectively belonging to Hongyanhe, Shidaowan and Fuqing with total installed capacity of 7 million Kw. Hongyanhe phase II in Dalian, Liaoning province, subordinated to China General Group(CGN), will adopts the same technical solution as phase I, namely CPR1000 improving techniques, and build two million-kilowatt PWR units with installed capacity of 2 million Kw. Shidaowan CAP1400 demonstration project in Rongchen, Shandong province, has used the third-generation large-scale advanced PWR technology with installed capacity of 2 million Kw. In addition, the technical solution of CNNC Fuqing units 5&6 has modified to “Hualong No. 1” technology with installed capacity of 2 million Kw.
