House Energy and Water Appropriations Bill Draft Released
Today, the House Appropriations Committee released its draft of the FY 2020 Energy and Water Appropriations bill.
The proposal provides $1.3 billion for the Department of Energy Office
of Nuclear Energy, an increase of $494 million above the initial FY 2020
request. It also includes funding to "begin interim storage
activities."
The subcommittee will meet to markup the appropriations bill tomorrow, at 12:00 p.m. EST. You can view the hearing HERE.
However, no amendments are expected and the detailed Committee Report
will not be publicly available until shortly before the full House
Appropriations Committee markup, likely next week.
