Yucca Mountain advocate John Shimkus retiring from Congress | Las Vegas Review-Journal: Rep. John Shimkus, R-Ill., who for years advocated to open a nuclear waste repository at Yucca Mountain in Nevada, announced Friday he will not seek re-election to Congress.
