Germany's nuclear plants may run for another 28 years, official says
Germany is considering extending the lives of its nuclear facilities by 28 years, which would mean the reactors would run for six decades, Economy Minister Rainer Bruederle said. This comes as the center-right government studies how many years it should add to the lifespan of the plants, which under a previous government were allowed only 32 years to operate
