Former EPA chief touts nuclear for clean-energy mandate
Nuclear energy should be included in any discussion for a clean-electricity mandate, former Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Christine Todd Whitman said. She said she would like to see "green energy" apply to more power sources. A renewable-energy standard would not suffice to meet the nation's energy demands, said Whitman, who co-chairs the Clean and Safe Energy Coalition.
