Canada's nuclear regulator is praised for Fukushima Daiichi response
The
Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission acted properly in response to the
Fukushima Daiichi nuclear incident, according to a special committee
formed to review the CNSC's actions. The commission promptly deployed
its emergency-operations center and kept contact with government
agencies and foreign groups in the aftermath of the incident, the report
stated. The country's nuclear-emergency program, however, was
criticized because it lacked a coordinated communication strategy. SNL Interactive (free content)
