PSEG is proceeding with N.J. plant-expansion plans

Service Enterprise Group is proceeding with plans to possibly construct
up to two reactors in Salem County, N.J., despite concerns from experts
and company officials about the project's financial viability. The
company applied for an early site permit in 2010, although the Nuclear
Regulatory Commission this year delayed its review for that application.
"If we're to embark on building a plant, it's essentially betting the
company -- and it's a huge challenge," said Jamie Mallon, the manager
that oversees PSEG's application for an early site permit. The Star-Ledger (Newark, N.J.)
