N.Y. plant to begin storing used fuel in dry casks

Energy has all the safety precautions in place for its plan to use
dry-cask storage of used nuclear fuel at its Nine Mile Point nuclear
plant in New York. "This is for that fuel that has run its life in the
reactor core and has been removed from the core, and then it will spend a
minimum of five years in the spent-fuel pool before it's moved out to
this facility," said Jill Lyons of Constellation Energy. WSYR-TV (Syracuse, N.Y.)
