- State-governed firms to construct Poland's first nuclear plant
Power utility Tauron Polska Energia and copper mining company KGHM Polska Miedz will buy minority shares in Poland's first nuclear plant, which will be built and operated by PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna, daily newspaper Dziennik Gazeta Prawna reported. The three-reactor facility will be capable of producing about 3,000 megawatts of power. Construction is estimated to cost $10.3 billion to $11.2 billion. Fox Business/Dow Jones Newswires (7/18)
