- Savannah River Site shifts to new construction phase
Shaw Areva MOX Services, the head contractor for the Savannah River Site fuel conversion project, is letting go of about 100 employees at the mixed oxide fuel construction area of the site as the company shifts to a new phase of the project. Shaw Areva spokesman Bryan Wilkes said there will be more staff fluctuations, depending on the startup and completion of different phases of the project. The Augusta Chronicle (Ga.)
