GE, Westinghouse make progress on Indian nuclear talks
Discussions between General Electric, Westinghouse Electric and the Indian government to develop nuclear plants have reached "a mature level of understanding," said Srikumar Banerjee, chairman of India's Atomic Energy Commission. The negotiations between the two reactor builders and Asia's third-largest economy have made progress after the Indian parliament passed a bill to ease the entry of foreign companies into the country's potentially lucrative nuclear market.
