Panel's waste management proposals are better than none
The
federal blue ribbon commission's recommendations for the management of
radioactive waste are better than continuing to allow the material to
just pile up in places that weren't designed for long-term storage,
writes the editorial board of The Washington Post. The proposals call
for the establishment of a new radioactive waste body that would be
tasked to develop interim storage sites and use a new method for the
