Report: Mo. stands to benefit from development of small reactors
Missouri's
economy could receive about a $37-billion boost from the development of
small modular reactors, according to a report by Missourians for a
Balanced Energy Future. Ameren Missouri has joined forces with
Westinghouse Electric to seek funding from the Department of Energy for
the units, which would be built at Ameren's Callaway facility in the
state. A standard small reactor could create more than 13,000 jobs, the
