Report predicts sharp rise in France's radioactive waste by 2030
France's
stockpile of radioactive waste could increase from its current 45
million cubic feet to 95 million cubic feet by 2030, according to Andra,
the country's nuclear-waste agency. While only 0.2 percent is highly
radioactive, some of the material can remain radioactive for more than 2
million years. United Press International
