Solar activity prompts reduction in N.H. plant's output
Solar magnetic activity prompted NextEra Energy to reduce the output of its Seabrook nuclear plant in New Hampshire on Sunday. This is the first time that the facility decreased output due to solar activity. "The conditions that caused the power reduction Sunday night have gone away," said plant spokesman David Barr. He could not say when the facility would return to its previous power level. Reuters
