Solar activity prompts reduction in N.H. plant's output
Solar
magnetic activity prompted NextEra Energy to reduce the output of its
Seabrook nuclear plant in New Hampshire on Sunday. This is the first
time that the facility decreased output due to solar activity. "The
conditions that caused the power reduction Sunday night have gone away,"
said plant spokesman David Barr. He could not say when the facility
would return to its previous power level. Reuters
