Costs to repair Fla. nuclear plant still covered by insurance
Replacement-power purchases and repairs at the Crystal River nuclear plant in Florida have cost Progress Energy about $250 million so far. The company's insurance policy shoulders expenses of as much as $480 million, and "we do not expect to reach that," said spokesman Mike Hughes. Progress' ratepayers could pay for costs not covered by insurance, Hughes added.
