Chamber's Harbert: U.S. must plan long-term for energy needs
The collapse of the congressional climate bill, along with tougher environmental regulations and numerous lawsuits, have contributed to hinder the growth of the nuclear sector, according to Karen Harbert, CEO of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Institute for 21st Century Energy. "Policymakers must consider the long-term consequences of action -- and inaction -- on energy policy" because "America is in need of more sources of energy, more energy infrastructure and more jobs," Harbert said.
