- NB Power to restart nuclear plant in Canada for safety tests
NB Power obtained clearance from the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission to restart its Point Lepreau nuclear plant for safety tests. The company, which shut down the 680-megawatt facility in New Brunswick for refurbishment, plans to get it back into operation by fall to help support one-third of the province's power needs.
