NEI exec sees more new reactor approvals into 2020s
Though
some projects have seen delays because of low natural gas prices, the
U.S. is expected to clear more nuclear projects into the 2020s, said
Richard Myers, the Nuclear Energy Institute's vice president of policy
development. "I think by 2015, we'll have a better line of sight on
where the markets are going, and we'll know more about [natural] gas
prices and at what level they will stabilize," Myers said. "These
projects are very large projects; it's probably best to build a few at
first to be sure we can do it right." The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
