Nev. governor says state is opposed to Yucca Mountain
Nevada
doesn't support efforts to revive the Yucca Mountain repository or
develop an interim storage facility in the state, Gov. Brian Sandoval
said in a letter to Energy Secretary Steven Chu. Last week, officials
from Nye County, Nev., expressed their interest in hosting a repository
for the country's radioactive waste. Sandoval said the county doesn't
