Lawmakers insert funding for Ohio nuclear project in Senate bill
Sens.
Rob Portman, R-Ohio, and Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, inserted $150 million
in the Senate's transportation bill for USEC's American Centrifuge
Project in Ohio. The bill cleared the Senate by a 74-22 vote. The
project "isn't just an important job creator in southern Ohio, it's also
a critical component of our national security. That's why we see
bipartisan support in the Senate for continued research and
development," Brown said in a statement. The Columbus Dispatch (Ohio)
