Survey: Most Japanese are against nuclear plant restarts
Fifty-seven
percent of Japanese citizens are against the resumption of operations
at nuclear plants currently undergoing maintenance, according to a
survey by the Asahi newspaper. Japanese authorities are looking to
restart some of the units to avoid an energy crisis in the summer
season. Eighty percent of respondents said they don't trust the Japanese
government's safety measures in the aftermath of the Fukushima Daiichi
incident, the poll found. Reuters
